Andy Carvin Joins the Tow Center

The Tow Center is pleased to announce Andy Carvin has joined the Tow Center as a Tow Fellow. Carvin’s project “Broken News” will examine the intersection of broadcast news and social media during breaking news events, focusing on three case studies: The Gabby Giffords shooting, Sandy Hook and the Boston Marathon bombing.

Andy Carvin (@acarvin on Twitter) is an award-winning journalist who has pioneered new forms of online collaboration for nearly 20 years.Andy graduated from Northwestern University with a BS in rhetoric and an MA in telecommunications policy. He lives near Washington DC with his wife, two kids, two dogs and two cats.
