Tow Tea: Perspectives on International Reporting
Columbia Journalism School
Brown Institute for Media Innovation
Thursday, September 17, 2015
5:00 pm – 6:30 pm

RSVP Recommended via Eventbrite

In today’s digital journalism landscape, our reporting and publishing can often almost invisibly cross international lines.

Yet responsibly and effectively covering international issues and events requires an awareness of how to report and write well for the various contexts in which our work – and our sources – must live. Likewise, being a foreign correspondent can make new demands on our reporting and sourcing practices.

Join us this Thursday for Tow Tea to hear from BuzzFeed Foreign Editor, Miriam Elder , and Head of Research at VICE Media, Beth Morissey about how they engage and deal with these issues on a daily basis to produce compelling, high-quality coverage.

For information about this event, please reach out to the Tow Center Administrator, Liz Boylan at eb2596@columbia.edu.
